*Nominations Open for AANR Northwest Man and Woman of the Year* * * Do you know of a man or woman who is an AANR Northwest member and who contributed to nudism in this region during 2011? (Note: Contributions to their home clubs don’t count – those contributions should be recognized by the person’s club.) The Man and Woman of the Year Committee seeks your help in nominating persons for these honor awards. Look around you, see who fits this criterion, and let us know.

There were no nominees for either award in 2011 so there was no award given at the 2011 regional convention for either category. Let’s not let this happen in 2012.

Send our committee the name of the nominee, his/her home club, and a detailed resume of his/her contributions to AANR Northwest during the past year. The committee will use this information to make their selection for the award. Winners will be announced at the annual AANR Northwest convention, but they are not required to attend to win. Include your name and your club and a contact (email if possible). You need not be a member of the same club as the nominee.

There are two ways to nominate a man and/or a woman for the award.

The easiest way is to fill out the form at https://aanr-nw.org/members-only/man_woman_of_the_year.html . The username/password can be found in the Nudescene, which comes with your Bulletin. Or just send me a note and we will you access to the site.

You’re Invited!….Mid-Winter Soak and Swim

Many folks greatly enjoyed and will remember the “Back to Nature” nude soaks and swims that have been a Montana tradition hosted at natural hot springs in our area for many years.

MNO is the state’s premier non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of healthy nude activities and recreation and will be hosting a mid-winter nude soak and swim at Lolo Hot Springs in January.

This activity is open to MNO Members and Non-Members…. you do not need to be a member of MNO to attend so bring your friends and relatives. MNO encourages couples and singles of all ages, especially those in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s to join us for this event!

If you are interested in joining with us for this mid-February break from winter for a great evening of relaxed fun please do so.

Today, Sunday, January 8, 2012, **Wayne Roberts** lost his multi-year battle with cancer. He passed from this world at about 1 p.m. and was surrounded by his wife Cathy, brother Ken and many close friends. ****Wayne **** put up a valiant fight and died peacefully.****

****Wayne**** was very active in AANR-NW, as an AANR Trustee and President of the region. He was also the recipient of the AANR-NW Hall of Fame and Man of the Year awards along with the President’s award. ****Wayne**** spent most of the 1980’s, all of the 1990’s and part of this past decade working for AANR and AANR-NW. We have missed his involvement in recent years and will miss his counsel as we move forward. Nudism has lost a supporter and a friend.

*Subject: *Thanksgiving Nudist Style

You are all welcome to the annual Nudist Thanksgiving sponsored by Kaniksu Ranch Family Nudist Park, *at Sunny Acres retreat house *on November 12 starting at noon. Kaniksu will bring the turkeys and utensils, paper plates. We ask that you bring a Thanksgiving Horsdeuvre, side dish or desert. Bring your beverage remembering the drive back home. This is not an overnight stay. The building will open for visiting and games (bring your favorites) and dinner will be served about 4PM. We’ll all be done and out by 8PM.

Sunny Acres is easy to reach, just 25 miles from Spokane, take the Fishtrap exit, then north bound road then back along the freeway and follow the signs. See the attached map.

Come for the food.

Come to enjoy Nudist Friends and make new ones. You are welcome to bring friends, but please be certain they know th is is a nude event.

1/2 Price for Feedback at Sun Meadow Resort This Weekend

Sun Meadow Resort is offering 1/2 price for feedback this weekend. You can pay half price for grounds fees, rooms, RV sites, and even meals as long as you are willing to help give input at their feedback sessions on Saturday or Sunday.

It begins at the 8 PM “Feedback” Get Acquainted Reception on Friday, Oct 21 so that people attending can get to know each other a bit better. The end result is that they are more likely to tell it like it is during the actual feedback sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

The Opening Feedback Session will be at 10 AM Saturday. It will be followed after lunch with a 2 PM Feedback Session on Saturday afternoon. After a break for an Oktoberfest themed Mezzanine Party and Dinner followed by a current movie on Saturday evening, the final Feedback Session wraps everything up at 10 AM on Sunday.

Even if you can’t attend, you can give them feedback by email…the more specific the better. What can they do to make Sun Meadow even more inviting? What do they need to fix (facility or otherwise)? What new idea should they kick around? What did you like best this year? What should they do more of? What are they forgetting?
