1/2 Price for Feedback at Sun Meadow This Weekend

1/2 Price for Feedback at Sun Meadow Resort This Weekend

Sun Meadow Resort is offering 1/2 price for feedback this weekend. You can pay half price for grounds fees, rooms, RV sites, and even meals as long as you are willing to help give input at their feedback sessions on Saturday or Sunday.

It begins at the 8 PM “Feedback” Get Acquainted Reception on Friday, Oct 21 so that people attending can get to know each other a bit better. The end result is that they are more likely to tell it like it is during the actual feedback sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

The Opening Feedback Session will be at 10 AM Saturday. It will be followed after lunch with a 2 PM Feedback Session on Saturday afternoon. After a break for an Oktoberfest themed Mezzanine Party and Dinner followed by a current movie on Saturday evening, the final Feedback Session wraps everything up at 10 AM on Sunday.

Even if you can’t attend, you can give them feedback by email…the more specific the better. What can they do to make Sun Meadow even more inviting? What do they need to fix (facility or otherwise)? What new idea should they kick around? What did you like best this year? What should they do more of? What are they forgetting?

Sun Meadow appreciates your input and knows that It will help them grow this winter too. In return you will pay only ½ price on grounds fees, rooms, RV sites and meals. Questions? See their website for more details at www.sunmeadow.org or call 208 686 8686.

Willies Skinny Dip July 9th

It’s July already – and the 4 July weekend was spectacular – both for its weather and activities – thank you to all who attended and made the weekend so successful.

But the fun has only started. This Saturday – 9 July – is our third Skinny Dip to begin at 12:00 noon. There will be music at the pool, free hot dogs after the dip – this is one fun event where we fill our pool with members as well as first-timers who like the sound of “skinny dipping” so bring a friend (our ground fees are waived for the day!) and make a day out of it – the Café will be open for dinner, there will be a drum circle at the firepit around 7:00 PM and Karaoke in the Fireside.

Come be a part of our attempt to break our Willamettans record for people simultaneously skinny dipping in our pool on Saturday 9 July!

And remember – No one outgrows recess, but the playground changes. Make the Willies your playground this summer.

New Hearing Date on Second Oregon Anti-nudity bill – April 15 – please contact the House Judiciary committee

*The Oregon House Judiciary committee has again rescheduled their hearing on HJR 35. Three different dates (Mar 23, Apr 1 and Apr 8) were set in the past for the hearing and each was cancelled several days before including the April 8, one which was cancelled Wednesday, April 6 – two days prior to the date scheduled. **On Friday, April 15, the House Judiciary committee once again plans to hold a hearing at 1:00 p.m. in room 343 of the state capitol on HJR 35 (see bill wording and legislative contact info below). This is the bill placing wording from the U.S. Constitution into the Oregon one and removing the existing free speech/free expression section. This one was sponsored by the entire Judiciary committee. *

*While this is supposedly aimed at regulating strip clubs and other enterprises utilizing mostly female nudity, it could allow local governments of any type to limit, curtail or totally eliminate nude usage of the state legal nude beaches, hot springs, nudist clubs and other venues which nudists and naturists choose to use.*

*We need those opposing this bill who can attend the hearing to do so. We are not asking for a demonstration, just a courteous, large presence against the bill. If you have a “Nudist and I Vote” pin or such, so much the better. I encourage those adept at public speaking to sign up to testify and make a point why they prefer Oregon’s original language in this Article. *

*Please contact the committee members immediately via e-mail to register your coments on this bill.*

*Here is the text of the bill: *

*House Joint Resolution 35*
