On Wednesday, March 9, the Oregon Department of Forestry met to decide on the adoption of the new rules being proposed for forest lands. At the recommendation of the ODF Policy Analyst Just Butteris, they decided to not adopt the anti-nudity rule changes that had been proposed for designated areas in the state forest. Mr. Butteris noted that, in addition to the oral testimony and discussion at the March meeting, he had received 175 written submissions from the public objecting to those rule changes. He did not receive any submissions that supported the rule changes. There were many other rules under consideration. No other subject had more than 9 comments.
The response of the Nudist community made a difference. When we work together, we can be heard.
It is time to do a happy dance!!!!

Sun Meadow is holding their St. Patrick Dinner and Dance this weekend, Saturday, March 19, as listed in the previous issue of the NW Nude News and on the Sun Meadow web site. Due to earlier press times, it had been listed incorrectly in the February NW NudeScene (the insert delivered with the AANR Bulletin) as March 12. It’s always a good idea to check club websites for updates and details about events listed here or in the NudeScene. The links on the calendar items here should connect directly to those sites.
