The next scheduled beach clean-ups are as follows: tomorrow – Saturday, July 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Rooster Rock State Park. This is a clothing optional event, for those cleaning in the nude area. Hats are advised. Water is still high but it is down at least one foot
from the level two weeks ago. Volunteers do not have to pay the day use fee. Minor snacks and cold beverages will be provided.
On that Saturday evening, Mountaindale Sun Resort is once again continuing their extremely generous tradition of a free dinner meal and overnight camping to the beach clean-up volunteers.
Sunday, July 29 – Sauvie Island- Collins Beach – clean-up at 3:00 p.m. (previously scheduled for 11 a.m.) – A parking pass is normally required but we have a pre-done, ready to be printed one day pass from SOLVE to get a clean-up day waiver of the fee. A September 22 final beach and riverside clean-up day at Rooster Rock is now on the schedule. More details will be released later.
