Erich’s Father

As many of you may know, Erich’s father has been terminally ill. Erich has appreciated your thoughts and prayers. His father passed away this morning at home in Massachusetts with his family. Erich expects to be in the office next week as a Memorial Service will occur at a later date rather than a traditional funeral. Please keep Erich and his family in your prayers.

Erich will have a full report next week.

AANR Government Affairs – Last Minute Details for Washington, D.C.

It is one week before AANR arrives in Washington, D.C. for Great Outdoors Week. We are making appointments, packets are being prepared, GAT Leadership Forum plans are being finalized, travel schedules collected, consolidating rides to/from the airport, confirming final hotel requirements, dusting off the professional wardrobe for packing, polishing up the shoes, and many other details. The Team is excited, and we are well prepared to represent AANR on Capitol Hill. Thank you for your membership dollars that fund this advocacy opportunity. We look forward to reporting our trip results upon return!

Next Week

Due to our Great Outdoors Week trip, there will not be a Government Affairs report next week.

AANR encourages our membership to assist in the process of tracking bills
by:

AANR works tirelessly to compile these weekly lists and engage volunteers and lobbyists as necessary. AANR prefers to work quietly with our legislators to prevent future laws that could impact nude recreation, but we are well prepared to engage in other methods of resolution, such as: letter writing campaigns ONLY when necessary. Always contact the AANR Office before taking action. This ensures that your actions are aligned with the
strategy underway for any particular bill.

To view the AANR GA Legislative Tracking Lists online, members are encouraged to visit http://www.aanr.com/members.html log in, and then click on the Government Affairs section located on the left. Scroll down to the Downloads section at the bottom of the page and click on the latest list, for example: “StateNet May 2, 2008.” If you would like to request an updated report of your region or state, please send a request to debra_sue@mindspring.com.
