Erich Schuttauf, Executive Director

A Warm Thank-You to Mira Vista Resort

The staff, officers, and trustees of AANR wish to extend a very warm thanks to Mira Vista Resort for the incredible job that they did hosting the 2008 Midwinter Board of Trustees meeting last week. Mira Vista is a beautiful resort with breathtaking views of the mountains just outside of Tucson, Arizona. There was fine dining in the restaurant, and we even had an opportunity to be there for the grand opening of a new volleyball pool and a conversation pool! Thanks Mira Vista!

The New York Times Travel Story is Pending

Speaking of Mira Vista, a reporter and photographer were on hand from The New York Times to take pictures and capture quotes in preparation of a large story about the growth of nude recreation and NAKATION ™ destinations across North America. (The New York Times has contacted other locations including Abbott’s Glen and Caliente.) We don’t know precisely when it will run, but it could be as early as this Sunday. Turn your Web browsers to Google and search Google news for stories on nudism so that you can catch what should be a great story.

Beyond 50

Thanks to the attention of AANR-Northwest President Mike Parker, during the Board meeting at Mira Vista there was also an opportunity to hold a live Web interview and broadcast between the producers of the Internet program “Beyond 50” and AANR President John Kinman and Past AANR President Pat Brown. John and Pat did a great job answering questions as well as promoting the aanr.com Web address. To hear the interview click the following link: http://www.beyond50radio.com/ go to Episodes on the left, and click on March 7, Episode 16, to either download (27 MB file) or listen.

The “Ides of March” marks the deadline for receipt of all nomination forms for those running on the 2008 ballot. As the 15th falls on a weekend, we will accept forms through the office closing time on Monday March 17. We wish the very best of luck to those who are running and willing to give their valuable time to making AANR a better Association.
