An anonymous letter sent to AANR-NW mailing address concerning a new State Park in Tillamonk County, Oregon proved to be factual and worthy of research. (If you are the anonymous letter writer please contact Shirley as she promises to keep you anonymous if you wish. We would like to extend our appreciation.)
=20
In researching the information Oregon State Parks Planner Ron Campbell shared that they are indeed working on a master plan for the new State Park named Cougar Valley. Among public comments he has received so far a few letters have advocated that they include a clothing optional area. GAT Chair Shirley Gauthier immediately sent a letter including AANR information and copies of our adoption certificate with Rooster Rock State Park and Sauvie Island.
=20
A few days after dialog with the State Parks Planner AANR-NW GAT Chair Shirley Gauthier received a copy of the Bare Spirits Nudes Letter. In the newsletter Bare Spirits President Danny Campbell (no relation to Ron Campbell) mentions his dialog with the State Parks Planner concerning a clothing optional area.=20
=20
April 4, Shirley Gauthier and Danny Campbell converse on the phone and both agree that they have communicated with the States Park Planner. Shirley is very excited to be working with Ron and the Bare Spirits on this project. = =20
=20
April 5, Shirley wrote to Ron Campbell expressing AANR-Northwest=92s commitment to a clothing optional area by requesting to adopt the area should we be successful in obtaining it. Our adoptions at Sauvie Island an= d Rooster Rock show AANR=92s long-term commitment to clothing optional areas = on public lands.
=20
We ask that you write to Ron Campbell at the address below. Simply say tha= t you are interested in Cougar Valley State Park including a clothing optiona= l area and that you would like to be added to the Cougar Valley State Park information mailing list.
