AANR Clubs Weekly Report for October 20, 2006
Erich Schuttauf, Executive Director
MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED!!!!.
More than 100 newspapers, television networks, and media outlets have carried an Associated Press article trumpeting that nudist resorts aren't remaining hidden anymore. This week, press from USA Today to MSNBC, CNN, and the Chicago Tribune have carried the story, which originates from Paradise Valley in Dawsonville, Georgia. Quotes from owner Joe Lettelleir state that nude recreation clubs are now proud members of their communities, organizing everything from open houses to charity events, while growing successful real estate and resort businesses.
In addition to news from Paradise Valley and Paradise Lakes, there are quotes from Dean Hadley of Cypress Cove and AANR, plus mention of the projects at Desert Shadows. While some versions of the story are longer and some shorter, they all point out that nude recreation has gone mainstream. In fact, some stories use the tagline, "skinny-dipping in the mainstream."
You can access the USA Today article at:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-10-18-nude-resorts_x.htm
SELLING OR BUYING A NUDIST CLUB?
Interested in selling a nudist club OR know a potential buyer interested in one?
If so, please give our AANR club liaison Nanette Wickersham a call or drop her an e-mail. AANR regularly assists with putting prospective buyers and sellers together as a way of serving the needs of our members and clubs. Naturally, advertising in The Bulletin is probably the strongest way of letting others know about your interest in selling or acquiring property. We can also arrange to more discreetly let others know when that's more fitting. Please let us know how we can help.
GLEN MILLER LOAN REMINDER
Glen Miller Loan Reminder notices went out to our 100% clubs this week. Remember that applications for loans under this interest-free program must be submitted by December 1, 2006.
