Terwilliger/Cougar Hot Springs Closed Submitted by: Shirley Gauthier =20<br>Access to Cougar Hot Springs has been temporarily closed due to a=20 mudslide located about 5 miles from the intersection of Highway=20 126.=20=20<br>=20<br>USFS officials reported that about 500 cubic yards of wood, rocks=20 and mud have cut off access to Cougar Hot Springs. The springs are=20 located about two miles past the slide.<br>=20<br>John Harper, developed site manager for the McKenzie River Ranger=20 District reported to the local media that "Safe parking is not=20 available; heavy equipment and crews require unimpeded access to the=20 slide to begin debris removal as soon as possible."
