I am very pleased to share some incredible news with you: This morning a very positive article appeared in USA TODAY. The article appears on the cover of the LIFE section's Travel / Destinations & Diversions pages. It's titled, "Nudist tourism puts on a layer of opulence." <br>The article was a collaborative effort of many and includes statistics from AANR (courtesy of Carolyn Hawkins and the public relations team at YPB&R) and information about a number of clubs from coast to coast. You'll find information and / or quotes from Nancy Tiemann of Bare Necessities, Stephen Payne at Desert Shadows, Carrie Schultz of Caliente, and Joe Lettellier of Paradise Lakes and Paradise Valley. <br>It's hard to quantify just how valuable this piece is. USA TODAY has a readership in the millions. By appearing on Friday, this paper will continue to be sold throughout the weekend…further increasing readership! Think about what it means to have all those readers learning about the strong dollar value of the nude recreation industry and the upscale amenities offered at many resorts and cruises. These 2005 Congressional issues of special interest to the RV park & campground industry include support for surface transportation reauthorization, the Gateway Communities Cooperation Act (H.R. 585), facilitation of international travel and wetlands reform. <br>ARC Great Outdoors Week We are in high gear preparing for our delegation to descend upon Capital Hill the second week of June. The goal of our team is to hold one-on-one meetings with as many decision makers as possible. We have additionally been asked to donate a silent auction item of at least a $250 value. We are assembling a suitcase full of nude traveler items with logo's from all of our regions. If your club wants to add items I need to have them at the AANR office before/05/27th and please contact your Regional GAT Chair to avoid unnecessary shipping of duplicates.
