AANR ELECTRONIC CLUB WEEKLY REPORT FOR/05/27, 2005 edited by Paul Tuttle
WE HONOR OUR COUNTRYMEN & WOMEN WHO HAVE GIVEN THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.
>From the desk of Erich Schuttauf, Executive Director: Execdir@aanr.com
Happy Memorial Day Weekend to You! This holiday marks the traditional beginning of summer vacation time and the opening of many AANR clubs across North America. We wish you the very best for a safe, sunny, and naked start this summer.
And while we are enjoying the holiday, let us not forget the sacrifices of the men and women of the armed services to whom we are so grateful for making freedom possible. For its part, per an AANR Board decision years ago, the association will automatically extend the membership / waive membership fees for all active duty personnel while they are serving in active duty overseas. We simply need a copy of the service person's orders to facilitate the extension.
They Got the Loan! You 05 recall that in a previous edition of this report we explained how AANR was working with a member couple's mortgage company and appraiser to secure financing on a home adjacent to an AANR club. This week we're delighted to report that the lender approved their loan…and offered to waive some origination fees as a gesture of appreciation for the time the couple had been kept waiting on the appraisal-for-a-near-nudist-property to come in. They wrote us a nice thank you letter noting that AANR "got the ball rolling" on their behalf after months of delay.
Credential Forms are on the Way AANR Delegate Credential forms for voting in the upcoming General Assembly at the AANR convention at Caliente club are on their way out to you!
You can always download additional credential forms by going to the club services area on the aanr.com website. Simply visit http://www.aanr.com/club_services.html . To get a copy of the username and password, just e-mail executive assistant Pat Plumstead at Exoffice@aanr.com .
Calling all Regions! Donate an item for our gift package for the American Recreation Coalition's Silent Auction
Next month AANR will again participate in the American Recreation Coalition (ARC)'s Celebration of Great Outdoors month in Washington, D.C. AANR is proud to have belonged to ARC—which brings leaders from the public and private sector together to enhance recreation opportunities— for many years. Once again this year, we will be supporting ARC's silent auction with an assortment of travel gear that's perfect when you're planning a nude beach or resort getaway. The presence of AANR's contribution on the silent auction table is a great way to promote the association and our regions as part of the mainstream recreation market. We're inviting regions that have nice items such as towels, gear containers, etc… with their logo to add to our material. Please send them along to Government Affairs Coordinator Pat Orner c/o the AANR office to be received by next Friday, June 3, 2005.
New Content on AANR.com This week there's an all-new edition of the cyber bulletin online. Read all about the recent USA Today and Frommer's Travel articles about nudism and more.
In the Members' Only Message Board area we've added a forum where folks can post their AANR Convention Plans. From exciting activities, to where to book the best air-fares, members are free to share ideas about the biggest event this summer. (There are lots of people signed up on AANR's message board service. By the time you receive this e-mail, we'll likely have passed the 1,500 registrations mark!
Finally, for the younger set, we've posted this month's puzzlers and jokes to the Just for Fun Kidz Zone of the members' area. Come visit Nudels the pooch and download some fun.
>From the desk of Pat Plumstead, Executive Assistant: Exoffice@aanr.com
SHOW ME THE WAY TO CALIENTE – 74TH AANR Convention -August 7-14, 2005
Just three months away, this convention will be an exciting event. Well, please don't get used to that because there was a mistake at the printer. They used 45# paper instead of 35# which is more expensive to print and to ship. When we get the postal reports back, we'll figure the difference and the printer will compensate us with a credit on our printing bill. Although it looks great, it's too costly for our budget.
We're getting great response to our request for stories about how nudism has affected people's lives. Have you submitted yours yet?
Miscellaneous You can read about the nudist beer of choice on the latest edition of The Cyber-Bulletin. Several club letterheads are in the works and billing is in progress for the June issue. The new U.S. version of the 75th anniversary postage stamp is being designed because the one with the AANR logo was rejected. Logos are no longer allowed. The Canadians were more gracious and accepted our logo without any problem. Those stamps have been received.
Order Your North American Guide Most of our clubs should be open for the season, so now is the time to stock up on the North American Guides.
