AANR Electronic Club Weekly Report for March 25, 2005

By admin at 8:22 am on March 28, 2005 | No comments

AANR Electronic Club Weekly Report for March 25, 2005 edited by Paul Tuttle
>From the desk of Erich Schuttauf, Executive Director: Execdir@aanr.com
AANR's 22d Edition of its North American Guide to Nude Recreation On Sale As you have been reading in regular reports, AANR has issued its all-new version of the Guide in a package that includes both a printed 320 book and CD-ROM. The book is being featured and sold on www.aanr.com <http://www.aanr.com/> where sales this week were promising.
But you can get the Guide at more attractive prices! Remember that AANR Clubs qualify for discounted rates in ordering so you can make profit on sales OR choose to pass the books on to your members and guests at reduced prices. (Plus members and guests who buy from you don't have to pay shipping – making your offering more attractive by saving $5 more!)
For information on ordering The Guide at reduced rates, contact Carol Burgos at acctrec1@aanr.com. We have recently sent a laminated poster to our clubs to help you suggestively sell. If you didn't get yours or would like another, please let Carol know.
Pressing on to restore Assateague Beach. This week AANR and AANR East have made yet another effort to restore a clothing optional section to Assateague Beach in Maryland. In this case, we have arranged to send 2,000 post card / self mailers to homeowners who reside in the districts of two key lawmakers who have been approachable to the subject. The cards are very discreet (we use terms like "au naturel" and the only photo depicts empty dunes and beach grass), post-paid, and simply ask people to check a box and drop in the mail.
We are going directly to the people in Maryland based on strong scientific polling results that show a majority of state voters support creating a clothing-optional area. This is a new strategy and we will keep you apprised of results. I applaud AANR and AANR East Government Affairs teams for being open to such new initiatives.
I also want to personally thank AANR Government Affairs Coordinator Pat Orner for her efforts in getting this done.
Naturally California Issue Prompts Columnist to Write "There's Nothing Wrong with Family Nudist Clubs." There is a column appearing in today's issue of the North Coast Times which is a must read: It is evident that this reporter has been well educated. Seattle – RSVP – Authentic Russian Bania

By admin at 2:28 pm on March 16, 2005 | No comments

In 12 Days an Exquisite Russian Bania is Willing To Go "Co-Ed" Nude Just For You With a Simple Email RSVP …
Dear fellow naturists and nudists:
We've got a great opportunity here to have a local Seattle spa – actually an authentic Russian bania – open their doors regularly to co-ed nude use. The General Manager and partner I've been working with wants this first night to work and if at least 20 people show up, they will schedule a regular night as co-ed nude night.
Here we have a business that recognizes that there is a demand for nude use and is willing to add it into their business schedule.
This first night is not sponsored by any club, nor paid for by any club, and you do not have to sign up or pay in advance. Payment is at the door when you are there.
HEAD Count Needed
But, the only thing he asks is that he be given a head count of how many plan to be there so he will know how many of his staff to schedule to come in.
Have a look at their web site at http://www.banya5.com and the writeup on the SLUGS web site at http://www.slimetrail.org/LateBreakingNews.html .
Then check your calendar to be sure you can come on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Then send me an email to: banya5night@slimetrail.org so I can give him a head count.
While you're at the Late Breaking News, also have a look at the Nude Viewing Night of the UNCLAD 2005 Art show which is coordinated by the SLUGS.
Thanks, Howard

AANR-NW Government Affairs Team (GAT) Training Weekend Report Submitted by: Shirley Gauthier AANR-NW GAT Chair
Sun Meadow nudist resort in Worely, Idaho located a short distance off of the I-90 corridor in Idaho hosted the very first AANR-NW GAT training. Sun Meadow provided sunshine, great food, fantastic facilities and as always the northwest friendliness that we accept as a given at AANR-NW resorts.
The social hosted by the Bare Backers got the weekend off to a great start. A Truth or Bare greet and meet game surprised many by the creativity of those that participated. Water volleyball in the 94-degree pool topped off the evening. While no one actively kept score we all felt like winners.
Saturday morning started off with the group playing Breakfast Bingo. Breakfast Bingo an AANR trivia game enlightens and educated those participating.
AANR-NW President Wayne Roberts welcomed and thanked all 37 participants for being committed volunteers who gave time, money and energy to contribute to the success of the first AANR-NW GAT training. Clubs represented at the workshop included Lake Bronson, Fraternity Snoqualmie, Kaniksu, The Naturals, Bare Backers, Sun Meadows, The Willamettans, and Restful Haven.
Tom Janson welcomed participants to Sun Meadow and shared how he and Lindas dream has now become a reality. Thanks Tom and Linda for sharing your dream and providing such an upscale destination resort.
GAT CHAT with Shirley Gauthier-AANR-NW GAT Chair followed by Community Awareness Team (CAT) provided the opportunity for participants to share what their clubs contribute in their communities.
Craig George-Advisor for the Volunteers in the Gorge and the Portland Area Command Volunteers share his long history of working with volunteers, building partnerships and working on community relations. We thank Craig for his generous contribution to the success of this event.
Risky Business The group divided into five teams and role-played potential scenarios in the political world. While this was a first time scary activity for some many others came across as professional actors and actresses.
The Naturals travel club hosted the traveling Henry. Patty’s enthusiasm was instrumental in collecting $365 dollars in entries putting the total this year at $525. Earl and Tresa volunteered to provide Henry transportation to Lake Bronson. Henry will eventually make it to the AANR-NW Spring Board meeting at The Willamettans April 2-3.
If you are afraid you might not be able to catch up with Henry you can send a check made out to AANR-NW GAT to:
Shirley Gauthier %The Willamettans Post Office Box 969 Marcola OR 97454-0969
Entries are $5 each and no limit on the amount of entries you can purchase. Funds collected from the Henry Fundraiser support AANR-NW Government Affairs Team. Thank you Henry Yuen for your continued support of AANR. The drawing will be held at the AANR-NW Convention July 4th weekend at Restful Haven.
Feeling like you missed out on a fun GAT event?
